Nine Ways to Speed Up Your Computer!

1 It is tempting to download lots of security software programs. But choose only one or two programs. These kinds of programs often seriously slow down your computer ..

2 Watch out for spyware and viruses - and that is harmful they can slow down your overall performance
.

3 Is your version of Windows so far?. Otherwise, to update the

4.osobno computer registry on your computer (such as a list of your data files and programs), they can get disorganized and corrupted causing your computer running slow. You must run the 'register' cleaning programs to address these problems.

5 If you're anything like me a lot of you constantly downloading programs. The problem is that probably rarely if ever use many of them after the first trial and so on. Obviously, they require hard drive space, as well as memory - what your computer is running slow, and maybe start slow. So, get rid of junk !.

6 Remove temporary and unnecessary files from your hard disk. Releasing disk can speed up your system. Run Disk Clean-up as well.

7 If you've had your computer several years, files become fragmented (pieces here and there). This makes them slower to read and update. Run Disk Defragmenter to consolidate data, as well as free space.

8 Ensure your hard disk has no errors. Your computer uses a lot of time reading and writing data to disk, and if you have any problems with the disc, then you will get a slower computer performance. Running Check Disk Utility

9 If you purchased your computer with little memory, then it can make it run slow. If at all possible you should at least 1giga. Have a look at buying the more it can make tremendous progress.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://infossoftware.blogspot.com/2011/04/pc-is-slow-nine-ways-to-speed-up-your.html' title='PC is Slow? Add in the fact that you're not a native language to use and challenges can add up. If you are looking for a ESL speaker to ask for help via e-mail using English, here are some things you May want to consider:

Ask nicely. You're asking for mercy, and not their Doling Awesomeness. No one who receives your e-mail needs to give you an answer. Play nice and you just might get one.

Use the correct format. English speakers are used for receiving e-mail with short paragraphs, sentences and tight readable font. Do the same.

Shorten pleasantries. You May feel obligated to try and butter to a recipient, because you'll be asking for mercy. While that might work, it's a bit difficult in your case is not well versed with the language. Sometimes, you might end up messing up the relationship by saying something wrong. None of this will happen if the pleasantries to a minimum and just get to the point. It's OK to be a bit of butter. Just do not do too much that you end up hanging themselves with their own compliments.

Language software helps. Use every tool you have the English language available software. spelling checker should keep your writing free of bad spelling, grammar check should be kept firmly sentence translation tool can help you clear up some things, and a thesaurus can help you find the perfect word
.

Basically, you have to ask nicely, writing a reader-friendly layout, to get to the point and use good language software. In addition, I would just advise you to practice English.

How to Choose Business Card Printing Software

Business cards do not have to be expensive advertising tool. You do not have to be a forex guru before you can start doubling your forex account. The following are three things you need to figure out the price action strategies.

First of all, you know you are moving the market? The imbalance of supply and demand move prices. Price moves in trends, and the trend is moving in waves. There are two types of waves are waves of impulsive and corrective waves. If you really want to make money consistently in the Forex trade a lot of impulsive waves. Why? This is because they are longer, bigger, faster, and difficult to reverse and more rewarding. Correlation waves are just a pullback, only a counter trend. If you are a newbie, you may not have the appropriate skills for this trade. You must know the impulsive wave, which is very important. It's just the price movement caused by the trend momentum. It would be difficult to reverse . loss of momentum is not a sign of trend reversal.

Second, the entry is nothing, the output is more important than entry. Ninety-seven percent of traders think the registration is more important. I will say that they are wrong. The output is the most important aspect of forex trading with share prices. For example, if you enter a trade, and make a few pips and leave the store, you will earn. If you can do it consistently you will start to get your money's platform for the printer. In other words, the trading price action to let you feel the market is open. You'll see what most traders see them. You will be able to wait for the right time to enter the market as the second exit and when they do.

Third, you must know that every day is different in the market. In every store you have to manage differently, depending on the situation. That is why most of the indicators will not work properly. News releases and speeches have much effect in determining price action. You need to analyze your trading day and week to know when to stay in or in full. That is why most robots fail. Many dealers give their chief executive position at the robot. How do you expect the good job done all the time? I would have a trading plan, and I keep it from time to time. there is only one rule in a difficult trading, which protects their capital . To all you need to do that.Fight the market to protect it. Profit will come if you can save your capital. Let the market do what it wants to do to save itself. We do not know the outcome of each trade.

I trade while setup meets my criteria for trading. I use a powerful strategy based on price action I learned from one of my mentors. It works all the time to keep my trading I simply make more money all the time.If you shop with a very simple software and an indicator of price action, it is easy to earn money each time. You will even double your account easily in less than 10 weeks as I always do just spending 10 minutes daily. To get this revolutionary powerful trading system and to stop losing money, go for more information.

Image Scanning - The Best Way to Store Data

For computer users image scanning is the only way to view the electronic files. You can take a look at the roulette table, choose the number and color that 'calls to you', place your bet, cross your fingers, and hope lady luck is on your side. Sometimes, you end up leaving the cry of joy. But most of the time, you end up letting out a sigh of disappointment and decisive statement about 'the next time'.

However, times are changing. Some people believe that roulette is not just a game of chance. They believe that if you play it right, you have destiny in your hand and win thousands, that is, if you have the appropriate software. Indeed, there is no such thing as a roulette software. That is, as its name implies, the software that is designed to predict the outcome of the game roulette. Or at least, that's what the developers say. It was really effective or not, this is for you to judge.

roulette software - What is it
?

roulette software operates on the simple premise of calculating the probability that the roulette ball to a certain number. You simply punch the number that won the first, and then the software will do the job for you. All you need to do is wait, and the software will tell you where the ball will fall next time.

This software integrates a lot of tips and tricks roulette experts collected over the years and makes it accessible to everyone, guaranteeing the victory of anyone and everyone who decides to buy their software.

Does it really work?

Of course, the bigger question would be - Do you work roulette software
?

response -. Sometimes

If you expect to work every time, then youyou must ask yourself why the developers bothered to sell it in the first place . They should have just spent their time playing roulette and making themselves richer than they ever dreamed. Why would you waste your time trying to earn small amounts of money from software sales, you could be earning big - huge - bucks on the table itself? Altruism? Not quite.

Altruism? Not quite.
...

If you do not win some big bucks, then you can attribute your happiness more than the software. Because, if nothing else, this software also rob the hands of fate. It works for the lucky and unlucky not to. After all, roulette, if anything, is a game of chance.

If you're really curious, you can try it yourself. Most retailers this software will offer trial versions that can help you judge the software itself.

Computer Hardware

computer hardware is physically part of the computer, including digital circuitry, as opposed to computer software that executes within the hardware. No, they are not really much good.

 Curiosity

my dad used to say: "You only get what you pay for. " Not very original, I know, but it was never truer words spoken. And it's definitely worth the boat plans. A quick search round the web will reveal the number of sites that offer free boat plans. Some of them are effectively photographs build-it-yourself plans that appear in the old sailing magazines, and sometimes sixty and seventy years. In order for the interest of curiosity, but hardly of much use if you really want to build it.

 Do not waste your time

The second partial plans, giving you details about some parts of the ship, but lack the other (usually a critical) parts. Other web sites do the usual thing of the leading internet you circle round links that you never actually get any free for all plans. But you'll probably find a collection of plans to buy (and a few hundred bucks or more ).

 My dad was right

In my experience, my dad was right. I've never found any free program any value or use the Internet.

By far the best way to plan for the ship that you want to actually make them for yourself. What? You cry - I have no idea how to go about designing a ship. Well, neither had I until I came across some fantastic new software that guides you through the process and gets up to speed in no time. It also automatically performs hydrostatic calculations, which means that you can see how deep it was going to sit in water and resistance calculations, which means that you can tell how fast it will go and what effect any changes to hull shape are likely to be .

 expensive?

Yes, but this sort of thing has to be expensive, you're probably thinking. Well, it used to be. Specialized software such as this would have set you back several thousand dollars in the past. But no more - the wonders of the open-source software means that sophisticated programs can be developed on a shoestring and made available to the public at very low prices
.

 Forget Free Boat Plans

Believe it or not, the software I'm using right now to design 32-foot sailing boat for my father-in-law cost me under fifty dollars. I would not even take into account the plans for free, using their own software to develop their own ideas of ship design is one of the most satisfying and enjoyable things I've ever done.

iPhone service pricing: Verizon vs. AT&T (FAQ)

-

how to rig minnows, iphone 3GShotspot for ipad, jailbreakme 3, jailbreakme 4 2 1, how to use iPhone 4 hotspot with iPad, verizon vs AT&T iphone plans, jailbreakme 3 0 review, how to use iphone as hotspot for ipad, ratio 5 2:1, grenada lake crappie fishing

The long-awaited launch of the Verizon Wireless iPhone is almost here, so how much will Verizon charge new iPhone users on its network?

When Verizon Wireless first announced a couple of weeks ago it would begin selling the CDMA version of the iPhone, the company didn’t disclose pricing of the service plans. And for the past two weeks, the company has been rather cagey about talking specifics of the pricing plan.

Even though Verizon has danced around the idea of offering usage-based billing with various pricing tiers for months, the company has now revealed that it will charge iPhone subscribers the same price it’s been charging other smartphone customers.

The news has left many would-be Verizon iPhone customers pondering what they should do. The Verizon iPhone that goes on sale February 10 is the same model that Apple launched in June 2010 on AT&T. Most of the features are the same. Apple found out about the WiFi issues, released a second GM build and iOS 4.2 came out yesterday. It came out in November, but it should have been out in the first half of November. Anyway, before the WiFi issues were discovered, Apple was already planning to release a new build of iOS 4.x in mid-December. Most specifically, they were planning for an iOS 4.3 release on December 13th, which is a Monday.

Our source tells us it is unclear whether the “extra time” that was required to ship iOS 4.2 (actually, it’s iOS 4.2.1) will cause a delay for the rumored release of iOS 4.3 on December 13th or not. iOS 4.3 should, however, include bug fixes and maintenance of the code. But the danger was grave enough that officials pumped seawater into the reactor to avoid disaster and moved 170,000 people from the area.

Japan's nuclear safety agency then reported an emergency at another reactor unit, the third in the complex to have its cooling systems malfunction. Hanshin just might have the first, as its Icreon HUWB-3000Kit supports both video and audio transmissions. Setup is rather simple: simply plug the USB dongle into your laptop or desktop, and connect the transceiver box via HDMI to your HDTV. Utilizing an ultra-wideband connection, it'll pipe audio and video wirelessly to your set, with support for 1080p resolutions to boot. There's no Mac support just yet, and a price has yet to be disclosed -- but hey, it's coming, and that's good enough. Er... we'll just keep telling ourselves that.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Compaq Presario CQ1-1020 all-in-one: Atom-equipped, ready for grandma's email sessions

Okay, okay -- so maybe Compaq's Presario CQ1-1020 is good for a little more than just browsing the world wide web and sending the occasional email, but there's no denying that this one's aimed at the "casual user." Outfitted with an Atom D410 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, Intel's GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a 160GB (7200rpm) hard drive and dual-layer DVD burner, the all-in-one isn't exactly cut out to handle Crysis. Furthermore, it ships with Windows XP Home Edition, though we are delighted to see that 802.11b/g/n WiFi was tossed in alongside the Ethernet jack. You'll also get inbuilt speakers, a 6-in-1 card reader, eight USB 2.0 sockets and enough bloatware to keep you busy with uninstallations for at least 10 to 12 minutes. It's listed for the low, low price of $429.99, but that little "check back soon" message means you can't order quite yet. Or at least that's always been our impression of the 10-inch business and education targeted laptop, since it isn't every day that you see what's supposed to be a secondary system with a 7,200rpm hard drive, durable aluminum chassis, spill resistant keyboard and capacitive touchscreen options. Or you know, a $415 starting price. The Mini 5102 doesn't fall into the same class as those $299 netbooks -- considering our review unit rings up at $668 and all -- but does the extra dough really pay off in a noticeably better shrunken computing experience? We've been on a mission to find out just that over the last few days, so hit the break for our full review.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Viliv S10 delayed until May, eyes well up everywhere

Remember when Best Buy decided to start hawking Viliv wares back in March? Currently, 2TB options are on the market from Seagate, Western Digital and Samsung, and while all are in the 3.5-inch SATA form factor, they certainly aren't equal. The benchmarking gurus over at Hot Hardware decided to toss no fewer than ten 2TB drives into the mix, and after running 250 or so tests, they found that WD's RE4 2TB came out on top. 'Course, that just so happens to be the most expensive platter in the bunch, checking in at around $0.16 per gigabyte; the admittedly slower Caviar Green 2TB and Seagate Barracuda LP 2TB both came in at less than half of that. Go on and give that source link a look if you're into bar charts and in-depth analysis of bits and bytes -- and remember, friends don't let friends buy lousy storage.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Zune HD hacked, OpenZDK now available to developers

Well, it looks like the first 64GB Zune HDs landing in customers' hands may not be the biggest Zune news today after all. As proudly announced the ZuneBoards website, the Zune HD -- and all earlier Zunes, although the potential there is a tad more limited -- "have been hacked." While obviously not the first hack of any sort for the devices, this is described as the "first true hack," and it has made the concurrently-released OpenZDK possible. That effectively gives developers "access to everything XNA withheld before," which more or less opens to doors to any type of application that can run on the Zune hardware -- games, emulators, app stores, you name it. Of course, there's not a ton for average Zune users to play with at the moment, but developers can find all they need to get cracking at the source link below.

This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Sony Ericsson X10 can do multitouch after all, will get Android 2.1 in September?

So, was all that hubbub for nothing? British retailer mobiles.co.uk -- a wholly-owned subsidiary of giant Carphone Warehouse, for what it's worth -- is claiming a "man on the inside" as saying that the X10 actually can do multitouch after all, despite word from a Sony Ericsson product manager to the contrary. In fact, not only can it do multitouch, but it will do multitouch through a software update in the second half of the year, the source goes on to say. This all ties in nicely with the dude's claim that the X10 will see an official update to Android 2.1 in September, a window that dovetails rather nicely with Sony Ericsson's official line of 2H 2010. Of course, by the time September rolls around, we can only assume that Froyo will be alive and well, so the ultimate question of relevancy for Sony Ericsson's very first Android venture remains to be answered.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

ATR and VStone debut 'life-sized' Robovie R3 humanoid robot

It's been less than a month since the iPod touch-based Robovie-mR2 rolled into our hearts, but the folks at ATR and Vstone have now already moved on to their next creation: the Robovie R3 humanoid robot. Designed primarily to aid in research involving the elderly or disabled, the R3 is apparently "life-sized," and packs 11 touch sensors throughout its body, along with a pair of USB cameras for eyes, two microphones and a speaker, an optional laser range finder, and a top speed of 2.5 kilometers per hour. It's also apparently reasonably adept at getting around, with it able to move omnidirectionally and overcome small changes in floor height, and able to lend a hand thanks to its "gripper hands." Of course, "research" is the operative word here, as this particular bot will only be made available to various institutions working with robots, and at the decidedly un-consumer-friendly price of ¥3,800,000 (or just over $41,000).
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Crazed turntablists transform sneakers into sound controllers, righteous beats result (video)

We're generally quite wary of any video meant to "go viral" and "sell a lot of shoes" (or sell a lot of whatever), but from time to time something comes along and cracks our jaded shell. As revealed by our friends at the FCC, the Sound Blaster SB1250 (codenamed "Lories") apparently packs a touchscreen of unspecified size, along with a couple of basic media playback keys, a headphone jack and, judging from the test reports, 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. What's not at all clear, however, is what the controller will actually control, although Creative's Sound Blaster Wireless for iTunes seems like one possibility -- or, potentially, a follow-up of some sort to that device.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Sprint's iPad '4G case' features an Overdrive pocket, oodles of irony

Listen Sprint, we get it, you want the whole US drooling over an iDevice hitting the internet at 4G speeds. It's a 45-foot tall solar-powered crane (the bird), and it boasts multicolored LEDs for what will surely be an awe-inspiring night. The huge art installation has a wingspan of 150 feet and weighs about 35,000 pounds. The photovoltaic-powered birdie was designed by Crimson Collective, and it's just another reason we're regretting our decision not to head out west for the festival. If you're lucky enough to be at Coachella, be sure to snap some closeups of the origami-styled crane hanging out with Steve Malkmus for us, okay? In the wireless operating system space, Apple, RIM and Palm (since Web OS) have chosen the former strategy while Symbian, Google (via Android and Chrome OS) and Microsoft have generally pursued the latter. It is difficult, if not unwise, for a licensing company to compete with its partners. Attempting to avoid this dynamic led to the disastrous split of Palm, Inc. into the PalmSource software company and PalmOne hardware company back in 2003. With the imminent release of its teen-targeted, social networking handset, though, Microsoft is seeking to have its Kin and eat it, too.

Microsoft's legacy is in licensing software PC operating systems to run on others' hardware, but the company began creating its own integrated platforms with Xbox. In a TechCrunch interview last September, Steve Ballmer logically laid out the case for when to integrate and when to license, with the main criterion being the size of the category. Here's Steve:
"I think you can have an Apple in the phone business, or a RIM, and they can do very well, but when 1.3 billion phones a year are all smart, the software that's gonna be most popular in those phones is gonna be software that's sold by somebody who doesn't make their own phone. And, we don't want to cross the chasm in the short run and lose the war in the long run and that's why we think the software play is the right play for us for high volume, even though some of the guys in the market today with vertically oriented solutions may do just fine."in January, following Google's announcement of the Nexus One, Microsoft's Robbie Bach was quoted in a Business Week article expressing skepticism regarding Google's ability to balance selling its own handset while supporting other hardware partners:
"Doing both in the way they are trying to do both is actually very, very difficult. Google's announcement sends a signal where they're going to place their commitment. That will create some opportunities for us and we'll pursue them." Now, Microsoft is indeed pursuing opportunities, but the Kin is more directly competitive with Microsoft's hardware partners than Google's Nexus One was with Android partners, although there's a key difference. While both the Nexus One and the Kin were actually made by separate hardware partners (HTC and Sharp, respectively), the Nexus One, unlike the Kin, runs the same core Android software and can access the same apps that other Android devices do. In contrast, while the Kin is considered a "Windows Phone," it will not be able to access the apps that Windows Phone 7 devices do.
The Kin's paradoxical message to Microsoft's partners continues that of the Zune: Welcome to the social -- we're going it alone here.
Google's offering of the Nexus One exclusively direct and online, though, made it more of an experiment in distribution than in competition. Android handsets such as the Motorola Droid, then, are largely shielded from competition with the Nexus One because the Droid is promoted and sold by Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. carrier. Indeed, the Droid continued to outsell the Nexus One despite the latter having earlier access to the latest version of Android. Leading Android devices on T-Mobile should also handily outsell the Nexus One.

Whereas Google kept its distance from the powerful distribution channel of the carriers with the Nexus One, Microsoft has dived into it, partnering with Verizon to offer the Kin. While the carrier has not yet revealed the price of the devices or their service, it would make sense to offer special data plan pricing to attract the targeted younger demographic that has so far been less likely to adopt smartphones because of the hefty monthly fees. And while the Kin is arguably closer to a feature phone than a smartphone, the strongest competition for it will come from smartphones that have access to rich social networking apps. Kin will compete with the likes of inexpensive handsets such as the iPhone, Palm Pixi, and the Motorola Devour with its social Motoblur interface, not touchscreen feature phones that have fine forms but minute minds.

There's another difference between Google's and Microsoft's approach in competing with its partners. Google launched the Nexus One more than a year after the first Android device appeared. By the time Google launched the Nexus One, the Droid was stealing share from Apple and RIM and Android devices were on three of the four major U.S. carriers, with an AT&T announcement imminent. Kin, in contrast, will be released months before we'll see the first Windows Phone 7 device, and is thus competing with Windows Phone partners before Microsoft's reboot even boots up. And while Windows Phone 7, in fairness, places relatively strong emphasis on integrating contact-centric social messaging into its topmost interface layer, Microsoft's skinning prohibition prevents its partners from creating overlays such as Sense and Blur that adapt smartphones to better compete with a device such as the Kin.

It has been noted that Kin has much in common with the Zune HD, but the two devices have parallel business models as well. When Microsoft launched Zune, it also decided to compete with its partners in pursuit of an integrated shared media experience. At least with Zune, though, the licensees on which Microsoft pulled the plug had had ample opportunity to take a shot at a surging Apple mobile device. The Kin's paradoxical message to its partners, then, continues that of the Zune: Welcome to the social -- we're going it alone here.

Ross Rubin is executive director of industry analysis for consumer technology at market research and analysis firm The NPD Group. Speaking at a tech conference in Toronto today, Lazaridis apparently said that the long-term viability of the tablet market (iPad included) is in doubt, especially as smartphones get more powerful; that would probably serve to quash the rumors from a few days back that the company is working on its own large-display device for release later this year. More interestingly, though, were his comments that full touchscreen phones like the iPhone "aren't that popular" -- that's news to us -- and that many that end up buying them ultimately go back to a physical keyboard handset. You know, like a Bold or a Curve, for instance.

Whether Lazaridis is conveniently forgetting the existence of his own Storm and Storm2, suggesting that touchscreen devices don't have a long-term future at RIM, or just saying that they'll remain a niche play for the company going forward is unclear -- but any way you slice it, we'd say it's a pretty significant dis for the Storm series and its owners. Looking at the bigger picture, it might also be a sign that these guys are still very much on the fast track to becoming the next Windows Mobile -- dinosaurs paralyzed by their own past successes -- but who knows? Maybe there'll always be limitless demand for an endless array of barely iterative hardware paired to a decade-old user interface.

Update: We've received the full transcript of Mike's session from the conference relating specifically to the touchscreen phone and tablet comments, and the reality is quite a bit different from the summary we'd been working from before. As tablets go, he says that "you can't say what's the market for tablets in exclusion of... other devices" -- a fair argument, considering that the iPad's ultimate target demographic still isn't totally fleshed out -- and actually never disrespects touchscreen phones outright, instead saying that the "QWERTY push messaging experience" is still "really, really important" while acknowledging that the company "
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Palm's SVP of software and services takes off, others given cash, stock to stick around (updated)

No one really knows exactly what's going on inside the walls of Palm HQ this week -- whether the company will sink or swim is perhaps a bigger question right now than it has been since its rebirth last year, and if it does swim, whether it remains independent is another matter altogether. In an SEC filing today, Palm quietly revealed that its senior VP of software and services -- Michael Abbott (pictured above), a man who has been largely responsible for webOS as a platform and the critical Mojo and Ares SDKs -- will be gone as of April 23. More interestingly, though, it had to hook up a couple other key players with stock packages and $250,000 in cold, hard cash to get them to agree to stick around for a couple years: Jeff Devine, SVP of global operations, and Doug Jeffries, the CFO. Yes, that's right -- Palm's chief financial officer may have damn near split in the past few days, which is never a good sign for a company whose financial stability is in question. The design is certainly appealing, particularly to those still averse to virtual keyboards, but it's the Blur user interface that really sets this apart from the Droid. Of course, we didn't exactly find a whole lot to love about the total package (compared to the other Android options, anyway), but that's not to say there's nothing to discuss. Model number P121UEU (as opposed to the AT&T variant, the P121UNA) now has the full blessing of the boys and girls at the Feds -- so when you pick up a Pixi Plus from your O2 shop on the next few weeks, take comfort in the knowledge that you won't be Tased, tackled, and placed under arrest for attempting to use one on American soil. And today, we've got a report out from NetApplications that indicates the iPad might be quickly making inroads with users. Over the first week of the device's public availability, the report says, the iPad nabbed about 0.03 percent of all web traffic. For comparison, the iPhone averages about 0.51 percent of traffic. This number nearly matches web traffic for BlackBerrys in March -- 0.04 percent (Android grabbed up 0.07 percent, as did Windows Mobile). Of course, NetApplications tracks only a sampling of website traffic to gather its data, so we'll keep our eyes peeled for longer term trends.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Holocube Touch demonstrated on video, no glasses required

The original Holocube was already fairly impressive as it was, but it looks like the folks behind it have now managed to do one better with their new Holocube Touch. While complete details on this one are still a bit light, it apparently uses the same type of projection system as the original, with some added touch capabilities to let you interact with the holograms -- although not quite to the same degree as some other systems. As if that wasn't enough, they're also now apparently hard at work on 42-inch Holocube, but there doesn't seem to be an ETA on it just yet. Or wait... maybe not? Microsoft has just pulled a Kin ad briefly featuring a young gentleman snapping shots of his PG-rated parts underneath his t-shirt in response to Consumer Reports' concerns that the move encourages "sexting" -- a growing problem amongst the world's technologically-savvy (and hormone-riddled) youth -- saying that it "takes the issue of sexting very seriously and it was never our intent to promote it in any way." It looks like Microsoft has kept the commercial around on the Kin site and just removed the offending portion -- it was only about a second long -- so hanging out in underground speakeasies with fake hipsters is still okay, apparently. Not only does the company rip this magical tablet down to its constituent parts but it puts it all back together again and, while there is neither a kraken released nor Medusa slain, the video does feature some rather fanciful sound effects for you to enjoy, and it's all after the break.

This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

iPhone 4G: is this it?

Is this the iPhone 4G (or iPhone HD)? There's no way to tell for sure, but these photos which made their way into our hands certainly do a convincing job of making us think that's very much the case. Apparently the phone was found on the floor of a San Jose bar inside of an iPhone 3G case. Right now we don't have a ton of info on the device in question, but we can tell you that it apparently has a front facing camera (!), 80GB of storage (weird, right?), and isn't booting at this point (though it was previously, and running an OS that was decidedly new). It's not clear if this is definitely a production model, or just a prototype that found its way into the world, but it's certainly a compelling design, no matter how you look at it.

There may be a chance to get some more face-time with the handset, but we wanted to get these photos to you guys ASAP. Stay tuned, we're working on more details as we type -- for now, enjoy the gallery below!

Update: As a number of observant commenters and tipsters pointed out, this looks almost exactly like a Twitpic posted by TUDream on February 20th, which we're throwing after the break if for whatever reason the source link goes down. It's low-res, shows an indiscriminate bit of the inside, and some mysterious button / possible SIM slot in the middle of the other side. The mic holes on this pic seems to be larger, too.
iPhone 4G hands-on
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Thousands of images apparently captured by spying school district, more details revealed

Legal proceedings are getting underway in the case of Philadelphia's Lower Merion School District -- you know, the one accused of remotely turning on webcams on its student's laptops inappropriately? We knew that district IT folks enabled the webcams 42 times in total, capturing pictures every 15 seconds, but now we're learning that over 400 images were retrieved of a single sophomore and that there are thousands more of other students. There is also seeming proof of use of the webcams even when laptops were not reported stolen, like when a student failed to pay the school's hardware insurance premiums. The district is apparently not standing behind its two IT employees who had the necessary permissions to enable this remote viewing, technology coordinator Carol Cafiero and technician Michael Perbix, and from what little we can tell now it's not looking particularly good for them. In a deposition Cafiero refused to answer any questions, citing her Fifth Amendment rights, but an alleged e-mail exchange between the two saw Perbix calling the pictures "a little LMSD soap opera," to which Cafiero replied "I know, I love it!" That doesn't sound entirely appropriate...
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Confused pig face mobile phone has paw print buttons, Winnie the Pooh sticker

Oh China, how we love the gadgets you produce. In one of the most extreme cases of product confusion ever, it looks as if we've got a clamshell phone with the face of a pig, a 0.3 megapixel camera, light-up eyes, a smattering of misplaced Walt Disney logos, paw print send / end buttons and rear speakers, and a random Winnie the Pooh sticker on the rear -- you know, to really cap things off. CEO Shantanu Narayen has naturally hit the interview trail to promote his company's wares, but the biggest news from him is actually a delay of sorts. We'd previously heard that Android, WebOS and BlackBerry versions of Flash 10.1 would be available in the first half of 2010, but Adobe's chief now places delivery to those platforms in the second half of the year. At least consolation may be found in his teasing of new Flash-enabled tablets -- most likely to be running Android or Chrome OS -- which we're told to expect to see within the same time frame. As to the question of Apple's holdout from Flash nirvana, Narayen describes it as a business rather than technology decision, which "hurts consumers" and will ultimately be judged by people voting "for the experience that they want through their wallet." Can't really argue with that. Skip past the break for the full interview.

Update: The blog of Adobe's Lee Brimelow gives us a likely reason for the delay: Flash Player 10.1 for Android has just entered private beta, as has AIR 2.0, with public betas on the way. Devs can sign up to be notified about both right here.

This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Carl Zeiss shooting for budding DSLR filmmaker audience with new cine lenses

Even if your interest in photography is fringe at best, you've probably heard the name Carl Zeiss. The optics company has planted its lenses all over the places, from DSLRs to numerous point-and-shoots, and now it's catering directly to our love of DSLR filmmaking. Ol' C. Z. took time at least week's NAB to unveil what it's dubbing "the world's first set of cine lenses designed especially for HDSLR cameras." The Compact Prime CP.2 lenses, pictured, and the more handheld-friendly Lightweight Zoom LWZ.2, should be compatible Canon EF, Nikon F and Arri PL mounts, which should cover your video-enabled photo-snapper lineup. We won't get too into the nitty-gritty details here, except to say the former is claiming no vignetting and the latter less than two kilograms in weight. Both sets should be available in June, and as for price... well, mum's the word, but we wouldn't be surprised if these guys didn't end up about midway into the four-figure range.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

GSM Palm Pre SIM unlock now available, unofficially

If you're itching to put a webOS device on your AT&T account and don't mind having half the now-standard RAM, the developers at jictechnology have released what they're claiming is an official, permanent SIM unlock for the original Palm Pre. A few bugs to get through, but it's apparently legitimate enough (we haven't tried, but the happy customers in the forums seem to suggest success) for the group to charge around £25. Great news all around, but if you're the sort whose fixation on Palm hasn't been so grand that you resisted switching to Sprint or Verizon, you can probably wait for the AT&T's Plus-sized model.
This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

iPhone 4G: proof

Well what do you know about this? With all those rumors flying around that the iPhone 4G we'd spotted was no more than a Japanese knock-off of an Apple product, it was starting to look like this thing was too good to be true. That is until one of the Engadget editors spotted what seems to be solid proof that this is -- in fact -- the next iPhone. If you'll recall, the night before the iPad was revealed, we had leaked shots of the device from what appeared to be an Apple test lab. Upon further inspection of these pictures today, the aforementioned editor discovered that the new iPhone 4G we've just gotten photos of is actually sitting on the table beside the iPad prototype! Imagine how blown our minds were when we realized we have had a photo of the next iPhone for months! As you can see in the pic above, the left side of the new device is clearly visible on this table in the upper right hand corner, and since we believe that these photos come directly from an Apple testbed, it's hard to deny that the phone you've just seen is in fact the real deal. Not only that, but we suspect that the device on the tablet itself is also a version of the new phone (you can see what looks like aluminum along the bottom) which seems to be housed in some type of iPhone 3G-like case.

Additionally, a source -- who confirms this is the next Apple iPhone -- also tells us that the device apparently does have a higher res screen on-board, a front-facing camera, a higher resolution camera with flash, and takes MicroSIM cards (that's the little "button" around the side you see in the Twitpic which is floating around the internet). We're working on uncovering more info, but right now you can take a look at the proof above for yourself, and in the gallery below.

Note: The device we're talking about can be clearly seen in the UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE PHOTO, you know, with the arrow pointing to it.

Update: A Mac Rumors forum member has just posted pictures from Chinese site WeiPhone of what appears to be the guts of this device. These images line up with what we know right now. We've added a gallery of the shots below.

Update 2: In response to commenters and tipsters questioning the differences between the Twitpic and WeiPhone pics and the "San Jose" photos; these are likely handmade demo units, therefore there will be minor differences between them such as the screws appearing and then not appearing. We believe the models which will roll off of the production lines in China will look like these devices, likely with some minor physical tweaks, but they will look like these phones. Other major design decisions are already set in stone, such as the rumored glass back, which is present on both of these devices (Daring Fireball's John Gruber mentions them here). Yes, there are very minor discrepancies between these photos, but you need to understand they are from a very small pool of hand-built tester units. It is incredibly likely that the next version of the iPhone will look like the photos you see in the gallery below, and we certainly wouldn't claim that if we didn't have good reason to believe it.

This post was made using the Auto Blogging Software from <a href='http://www.webmagnates.org' title'make money online'>WebMagnates.org This line will not appear when posts are made after activating the software to full version.

Keepin' it real fake redux: Nexus One clone is 'Teg W3000,' has WiFi, dual cameras, TV tuner and Skype

Earlier this month, an unknown manufacturer had the dubious distinction of making our KIRF list, for building what appeared to be a Nexus One running iPhone OS. Mr. Blurrycam couldn't tell for sure... but today the KIRFtastic handset has been unveiled in all its infringing glory. Dubbed the "TEG W3000," the device is billed as a quad-band GSM worldphone with an accelerometer, WiFi and Bluetooth, front and back-facing 2 megapixel cameras, FM and analog TV tuners and Java support. While the iPhoney OS doesn't seem to have a App Store hackjob, the phone certainly has apps; in an interface pic, we spotted eBuddy, Facebook and Skype alongside Maps and the Opera web browser. Hands-down the most exciting ripoff in recent memory. Now cautiously whistle a happy tune, and move along. That's up 68 percent from the 12.5 million who did so in 2008. With two-thirds of mobile map users saying they accessed their phone GPS in a moving vehicle, ComScore thinks the stats suggest phones might replace standard PNDs as well. Too soon to tell, perhaps, but judging by recent events, we expect 2010's numbers will be stellar nonetheless. Haven't tried smartphone GPS yourself?
